How It Works
Working with a luxury travel advisor shouldn't feel complicated. Here's exactly what happens from the moment you reach out to the moment you're sitting on a beach with a drink in your hand wondering why you ever tried to plan a trip yourself.
The Process
Everything starts with a conversation. You'll book a free 30-minute call through my Calendly link — no commitment, no pressure, just an honest conversation about where you want to go and what you want to feel on that trip.
Come ready to talk about your destination wishlist, your travel dates, your budget range, and anyone in your group with specific needs. The more I know upfront, the better I can plan.
Before I start any research, your planning fee is collected. This isn't a formality — it's how I make sure my time and expertise are going toward clients who are serious about traveling, and it's how I make sure I can give your trip the full attention it deserves from day one.
Once your fee is in, I get to work. Not before.
Here's where it gets different. I don't send you a list of options and ask you to pick. I take everything you told me on our call — your destination, your travel style, your group's needs, your budget — and I find the one trip that checks every single box.
My approach is first and best. I do the research, I do the vetting, and I come back to you with the trip I genuinely believe is the right fit. No decision fatigue, no comparison shopping — just a confident recommendation from someone who knows what they're doing.
If you have dietary restrictions or accessibility needs, those are already factored in before anything gets presented to you.
Once you're on board with the proposal, we move quickly. Deposits are typically required at booking to secure your dates, your room category, and any current promotions — which is exactly why coming to that first call deposit-ready matters.
Availability at luxury resorts and on popular cruise sailings moves fast. The sooner we can lock things in, the better your options.
Before you leave, I send you a fully customized pre-travel packet. This isn't a generic checklist — it's specific to your trip, your resort or cruise line, your dietary needs, and anything else that matters for your travel group.
It covers check-in tips, dining guidance, what to pack, safety information, emergency contacts, excursion recommendations, and answers to most of the questions you'd otherwise be texting me the week before you leave.
You show up, you enjoy every single moment, and you don't spend your vacation managing logistics. That's the whole point.
I'm still reachable while you're traveling. If something comes up — a room issue, a question, anything that needs to be handled — you reach out to me and we deal with it together. You're not on your own the moment you board the plane.
My best clients come back. Not because I push them to — but because once you've experienced travel this way, going back to doing it yourself just doesn't make sense anymore.
I'd love to be your travel advisor for life, not just for one trip. The relationship we build over time means every trip I plan for you gets better because I know you better.
Let's Talk About the Fee
I'm a professional. My time, expertise, and the attention I bring to every single booking have real value — and the planning fee is how I make sure I can give your trip everything it deserves.
What you're paying for isn't just a booking. It's research, vetting, communication with resorts and cruise lines, a custom pre-travel packet, and someone who is genuinely in your corner from the first call to the day you get home.
You wouldn't expect a financial advisor or an attorney to work for free. A travel advisor who's worth their salt shouldn't either.
Come Ready to Move
The clients who get the best trips are the ones who come to their consultation knowing what they want and ready to commit when we find the right fit. Here's what that looks like in practice.
Travel availability — especially for luxury all-inclusive resorts, Sandals and Beaches properties, and popular cruise sailings — moves fast. The difference between getting the room category you want and settling for whatever's left often comes down to how quickly you're able to say yes.
Being deposit-ready doesn't mean you have to decide on the call. It means you've thought through your budget, you know your travel dates, and you're not planning to sleep on a decision for three weeks while the availability disappears.
Have a travel window in mind — even a flexible one. This determines everything from availability to pricing to what promotions we can apply.
You don't have to have an exact number, but knowing your general range helps me skip options that don't fit and focus on what actually works for you.
Relaxed? Adventurous? Pampered? Somewhere your kids will actually enjoy? Tell me the feeling and I'll find the destination.
Dietary restrictions, mobility considerations, neurodivergent travelers, ages, special occasions — the more I know upfront, the better I plan.
